Class on Oct 21

On Sunday Oct 21st, we started our Torah adventure with the Creation story. The value we focused on is being care- takers of the earth. We are partners with God by helping to take care of nature. We created a board in our room with  hearts the children made focusing on ways they can care for the world. Stop by our class to see the board!

We are learning Hebrew with a form of language learning called "TPR", which is like Hebrew-in-motion! The children are fast at recognizing the words and performing the action. They take turns being leaders with me.  Ask them to teach your family some words, such as 'lakoom' (stand up) or 'lashevet' (sit down)

Modeh Ani - Thank You, God!

During our first family program we learned about the prayer you say when you wake up, which is called "Modeh Ani."  When the parents were with Rabbi Greninger the children reflected on what they are thankful for in their lives, responding to the prompt, "Thank you God for..."

The children are reflecting and creating "thank you" cards for their parents.

During our family program we created thank you signs to put in our rooms.
